Approximately 50 pounds, she is the perfect dog to blend into your existing dog family. Sadie is very human focused and is highly trainable, as she wants very much to please her chosen people. With her sweetness and charm, she will make sure that she is the favorite dog in your household in very short order. When visitors arrive, Sadie will greet them politely while she evaluates if they are suckers for ear and butt scratches. If that is the case, then Sadie will become fast friends. Sadies ideal home will have a fenced-in yard, at least one other dog to play with, and a person who is home most of the day. She has been tested with cats, and for the most part, she just ignored them. Sadie is not a good choice for someone who works outside the home or who doesnt have other dogs, unless daycare can be provided. Unlike most young shepherd types, Sadie is not a high energy dog so she doesnt need miles of exercise. She is very content to lie by your side as you watch TV or work from home. But, as an intelligent young girl, she can get bored if left alone and unstimulated. She has had training and walks beautifully on leash. With her intelligence, politeness and willingness to work, she would make an ideal therapy dog. But if that job is unavailable, she will be content to be a great, loving family dog.
